Lecturer’s CV:

Dr Pierre Dimitrov graduated as a doctor of dentistry from MU–FDM Sofia in 2016. He practices in Delta Consult dental clinic, and his focus is on restorative adhesive and prosthetic dentistry supported by digital technologies.

Dr Dimitrov is part of the international BioEmulation group which unites dentists and dental technicians from all over the world – Spain, Greece, Switzerland, USA, Japan, etc. The philosophy of the group is related to the maximum imitation of the mechanics, function and aesthetics of natural dental structures. He is part of the Key Opinion Leaders & Advisory Board group for the development of ceramic CAD/CAM materials and a lecturer for the Japanese dental company GC.

Dr Pierre Dimitrov leads various lecture and practical courses in Bulgaria and abroad on adhesive techniques, indirect ceramic restorations and the application of digital technologies in modern dentistry. Together with the Denta Consult team, he was awarded three times prizes in the “Smile of the Year” competition in the categories “Full Restoration with Digital Prototype” and “Ceramic Restorations”.

Course abstract:

The course covers basic principles and details of the whole process of working with indirect restorations – crowns, veneers and overlays. All elements of clinical case planning and diagnosis, indications for the various indirect restorations, biomechanical principles, choice of materials, preparation design, clinical protocols for preparation and cementation of definitive indirect restorations will be discussed. The course includes a lecture, a demonstration and a practical part.

Course objectives:

  • Main objectives: The main objective of the course is to understand a modern concept for the selection and application of indirect restorations in the correct clinical cases, aiming at maximum preservation of intact and stable dental structures.
  • Practical objectives: To improve and refine participants’ manual skills following a specific and strict clinical protocol for modern preparation techniques and adhesive cementation.

Course advantages:

After participating in this specialised course, each participant will be able to:

  • choose the optimal indirect restoration in a specific clinical case;
  • combine the different approaches to restoration in complex clinical cases;
  • apply modern and reliable clinical protocols in the preparation and cementation of indirect restorations

    Course format: Lecture, demonstration and practical parts

    Theoretical part – comprehensive overview of modern concepts and techniques in the application of indirect restorations – partial and complete overlays, veneers, thresholdless crowns. Preparation techniques, design of preparations, protocols for adhesive cementation. The demonstration includes preparation protocols for overlays covering the whole tooth, veneers, thresholdless crowns, rubber dam isolation, immediate dentine sealing, deep margin elevation, adhesive cementation of overlays, and crown covering the whole tooth.

    Practical – the practical part includes preparation for overlays, immediate dentine sealing, preparation for veneers, preparation for crowns, adhesive cementation of overlays.
