DIGITAL vs ANALOG

Course abstract:
DIGITAL vs. ANALOGUE – The world we live in is changing so fast and technology is improving every day. New technologies allow us to scan the dentition, the face, the bones of our patients. We have the ability to ‘clone’ the patient and their dynamic and static parameters on the computer. We can mill and print everything we need to treat and diagnose our patients. Companies assure us that digital is faster, more accurate and better, and gives us more options than analogue. But is it really so?
You will be able to learn this in the one-day lecture presented in the format of a debate by two of the most recognisable names in Bulgaria: Dr Manol Ivchev and Dr Pierre Dimitrov Dr Ivchev will defend the position that nothing is better than the analogue, and Dr Dimitrov will refute this and will defend digital dentistry.

Dr Ivchev’s message: Being a good doctor requires above all formulating correct diagnoses. Making an exact diagnosis is a key element and can help avoid wasting time as a result of selecting the wrong direction of treatment which could have high biological, temporal and financial cost for the patient. Systematic and standardised collection of information from the patient and the knowledge of the clinician are the basis for formulating a correct diagnosis.
