FINISHING & POLISHING SYSTEM Diashine® CAD ESSENTIALS

The CAD Essentials Finishing Kit designed by Amy Jones RDH, is a complete yet simple four-step finishing process for milled glass ceramics. This system includes our popular Intra Oral DiaShine to re-polish any restorative material in the mouth after adjustment and is the first finishing system to utilise our DiaTrim and DiaFlex sintered diamond products which allow you to work quickly and efficiently. Keep your speed below 10 000 rpm and begin with light contact pressure.

The kit includes:

1. DiaTrim Wheel - 1 wheel;

2. DiaFlex Medium Wheel - 1 wheel;

3. DiaShine Fine - 2 brushes

4. SHP Stiff Bristle Brush - 2 brushes

5. SHP Soft Bristle Chamois Centre Brush - 1 brush

6. Polishing paste - Fine, 3g;

7. Intra Oral paste - 2g.

Working protocol with Diashine CAD Essentials:

Step 1: Remove sprue with DiaTrim Wheel - 7000 -9000 rpm - Light contact pressure;

Step 2: Smooth miil/bur marks and surface prep (pre-polish) with DiaFlex Medium Wheel - 5000 - 7000 rpm - Light contact pressure;

Step 3: Polish with DiaShine Fine and SHP Stiff Bristle Brush at 7000 - 10000 rpm over entire restoration - Moderate contact pressure;

Step 3B: In the occlusal anatomy, polish using higher pressure on the pull stroke and slow your speed to around 5 000 rpm;

Step 4: Dry buff with SHP Soft Bristle Chamois Centre Brush - 10 000 rpm;

Step 5: (Optional): After seating restoration, if bite is adjusted, re-polish restoration with DiaShine IntraOral and Soft Cup Brush at 7 000 - 10 000 rpm (intra oral)
